What do Trump, Clinton, and Sanders all have in common?

Kinja'd!!!

Everyone is aware of the ongoing Mueller probe, with news over the past few days that he wants to have a sit-down with the President himself. What people aren’t aware of is the investigations into Sanders and Clinton.

We’ll start with Clinton. The FBI has reopened investigations into the Clinton foundation and accusations of pay-for-play. There’s a hell of a lot for Clinton to be worried about here, in my opinion. Tangentially, there are even more questions being raised about the manner and conduct of the FBI during the classified mishandling investigation, such as handing out immunity to individuals who the FBI knew lied....

Meanwhile, it appears that a grand jury has been conviened regarding Bernie’s wife, with a major implication being that Bernie himself abused his power in order to secure the funding for her alleged crime.

That’s right folks. 3-for-3. The fucking hat trick. The trifecta. All three major front-runners for president during the 2016 election are currently under active FBI investigation, and all slimy pieces of shit.

This surprises me none bit. The real (sad) question to ask is: is it even possible to get far politically without getting dirty?

my biggest fear is that I’ll still be hearing “but, her emails !” in 2030.

This election is done. move on. worry about the next one and stop with all of this petty revenge bullshit.

And get a grip, Boomers. you’re not going to be around much longer anyway, stop trying to do as much damage as you can before you’re gone.

Every generation does its own damage to the world. Keep in mind that the Boomers were the hippies; how do you think the Millennials will end up when they get older?

I hope the Trump administration is the last gasp of the neoliberal-economic/neoconservative-social push in our society.

They worship of the economics of Rand, Friedman, Hayek, and Buchanan (none of whom ever used empirical evidence to develop theories. The paranoid “white-Christians-are-oppressed” propaganda perpetuated by the media leaves me in a foaming-at-the-mouth, red-in-the-face apoplexy.

Seriously. It’s so maddening that I leave run-on sentences on internet posts.

This is how I feel about the boomer generation:

Politics. I don’t see a lick of difference between pretty much any politician. Just because some are more outwardly slimy than others doesn’t mean that others don’t have skeletons in their closet. They all do.

Probably not. I dunno. Obama didn’t seem too dirty, although I’m sure there’s people out there with opinions. Off the bat I can think that some people may be upset that he overstepped his bounds. But on the other hand I can understand it, because the left and the right are constantly at odds, making roadblocks for each other that he just threw up his hands and said “I’ll just do it”.

So that brings me to my biggest frustration, every 8 years the political pendulum swings. When party A is in power they make what is, in their eyes, progress. Then party B comes along and in their eyes it was all evil and bad and illegal and inappropriate and proceed to dismantle it all. Never has that been more apparent than with this administration, if the Obama administration was responsible it’s automatically evil and needs to be repealed.

We are no longer following the spirit of how the founding father intended us to be governed, with checks and balances, the 3 branches, etc. It’s every side for themselves. Let’s reach across the aisle, and let’s do so under the assumption that the other sides ideas hold merit as well, let’s come up with legislation that doesn’t get repealed, neutured, or replaced every time the political pendulum swings to the other party.

I’d really like that.

In short: let’s have some humility.

Your Bernie news is a little dated. The jury was empanelled in October, and almost certainly been dismissed by now, as a couple months is usually the limit. There has been no action on the case since October. 26th, but the probe will continue into the Summer, most likely.

But if they bring it before the GJ again, I’m sure you’ll hear about it. That crackpot Tuensing will continue to weasel for the weasels to anybody that will listen.

We should just randomly draw SSNs and whatever unlucky schmuck gets picked gets to be President for 4 years.

IMHO a randomly picked person would be better than most presidents in modern history.

Politicians are crooked, news at 11?

And sadly, one is in the oval office, the worst choice for the role in American history.

What do they not have in common? The presidency - only a stable genius dotard is in that role. Almost smells of whataboutism there. Waiting for devilspawn to crack like an egg, and the face that disproves the American meritocracy, Jared, to be dragged into this mess too.

While I don’t take issue with your description of all three front-runners, I do take issue saying all three are under investigation. Bernie Sanders is not under investigation; his wife is, for an 8 year old alleged fraudulent loan while she mismanaged a college into bankruptcy.

Probably, but the opportunity to do so is ever-present once you get into politics or somehow amass enough money to run a campaign.

People that would do a good job would never want the jobs.

We will all be hearing things about buttery mails for the rest of our lives, even if we live to be 120. The corruption of the swamp fillers, combined with blind and rabid deflecting devotees, makes it a certainty. Lots of damage done and in the works, lots of Fox and Friends viewers to deflect.

I like one certain demographic calling the other “entitled”, such lack of self-awareness.

(no mention that education cost a fraction then what it does now, and in my area anyway, a house that cost 3 years salary when they were 35 is 10 years salary or more today).
